M2 is in finally

Postby cougar » Tue Jul 14, 2009 8:14 am

I had to work at reaching 24psi boost, now it hits 25 without trying. Driving it normal, I notice only a slight improvement in throttle response. Mash the throttle and you will know when it falls off the step in the pin. I hit 28 before I backed out of it. I went from 45 to 70 like, now! No smoke on the step like before, some but not severe off the step. I'm OK with it for now. Once I get the spring and injectors in I'll work on the fine tuning. :thumright:

So, what is the main "grind/tune" diff between the M2 and Denny's stage 2?

The Denny T is similar to the M&H M5. Here is a link with a picture.

where would you get an m&h fuel pin? Is it better or the same as a denny t. I would like to support a first genner that is coming up rather than m&h that sounds like a major company. Dyno results??????

Both dennyt and M&H are 1st gen guys, the problem for me was that Denny only makes 1 profile, I didnt want one that agressive so I went with an M3. You can go to DTR or Cumminsforum and PM Alwaysworking. He makes the M&H pins.

That is why I went with the M&H. Because my truck is a working truck, haling and towing as well as a daily driver, I needed something other than "all at once".

i dont have to worry about most of that because I just use it as a hot rod around town.

If you're planning on running big injectors you want a pin that will bring the fuel on gradually, that's why I went with a more mild one, it will deliver the same fuel at full boost but less down low.

That is a very good point.
