Thoughts on the he351w

I'm in need of a new turbo, I've been looking at s300s and super 40s but can't find used at the moment. However I did find a guy selling his he351w with just under 100k for $400 . Is that a good deal? Would this turbo work well on an intercooled (2nd gen factory cooler) 1stgen with 190 injecors and pump tweaks? I'm looking for about 350 hp max, DD and towrig.

That thread is actually in regard to the variable vane version, I'm talking 04.5 to 07 turbo not 07.5-current. Thanks though

i run one, did a thread on dtr about it. great turbo. with your small injectors you should have no problem w/egts. you,ll want more fuel

I'm happy with my wastegated one. $400 is way to much though. You can find almost new variable geometry he351s for $100-$200 if you look hard enough.

I'd say $200 max for a good turbo.
