air to water intercooler/ aftercooler

Postby ahale2772 » Tue Sep 29, 2009 8:10 pm

anybody ever use an air to water intercooler or an aftercooler like some of the marine style engines use? id guess that the aftercooler would be a bit much to fit under the hood of a dodge but either might be cool...

I had one on my '90. It fit under the hood without any problem, and improved the trucks performance quite a bit... I did install a different turbo at the same time though.
I used an electric waterpump with a standalone radiator instead of using the engine's cooling system.

Bill Gilbert had one on his truck too. He had another for sale, but it was a few months ago.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Be aware that with the cummins cooler, you need the injector lines to go with it.
