hey-Hey!!!,
What 90* are you talking about? For that matter what is this about cast Al? Not that TIG would be an issue( got a nice Miller ), but I *SUSPECT* you're mistaken on the piping; its lower/front output is straight out, and the inlet( rearward an top ) is angled ~30* up and backwards. Mounted on the other side, what's originally front/lower/outlet would become the inlet, and the angled nipple will not point in too wacky a direction. I figure if it can feed the 390 hp Ford it will have no issue with my lightly tuned Cummins( maybe 220 hp? ).

hey ellis93,
That isn't the one. Looked for pix on the web with a few search terms and came up empty for the newest Powerstroke. The new one has some screwey connections, like its cold side *IS* a 90* nipple, though the IC itself is a straight outlet. The only thing I see is the OE Ford elbow( it appears to be plastic and thus restrictable to cold side only ). Run down to a Dealer and have a peek.

Well I have decided to forget this air to water inercooler idea. Talked to montie johnson of johnson motor sports, jms, they said this cooler was not vere efficiant for coolin larg amounts of air. Plus I have in my shop a 96 2500 diesel that I bought for 800$
Would the cooler and tubes off of it be worth puttin on mine.

That would be the well applied Gen 2 cooler, and by all the reports it works very well indeed.

It also has a HX35 on it as well. Thought about swapin all of it to my truck only I need to find another tube that goes from the cooler to the intake. Mr douglas do u know if a place that makes one that would work or use the 2nd gen one with an aftermarket intake.

Man, all I know( or more correctly would know ) is what I'd find with google or look through the diesel shops listed as sponsors. IIRC JKidd knows lots about that sort of thing being a turbo and piping dealer. For my HX35 swap I am going to fab the tubing myself and somebody else hooked me up with some exhaust suppliers of bent up tubing to weld up( I *DID* get a TIG machine for a reason, and now I've got it I can't go buying built up stuff anymore ).

I'm lookin for tubin now that will work that's steel. Gonna try to fab out some cooler tubes with my mig first. I've got 75/25 argon gas on it now. It tends to weld fairly well with it. Good n smooth so leaks should be few.

Some suppliers:
Woolf Aircraft; http://woolfaircraft.thomasnet.com/adva ... bent-elbow?
Jegs and Summit; http://www.summitracing.com/search/bran ... toview=SKU
Stan's ( also sells complete exhaust systems ).

There is much more out there; one place( http://secure.chassisshop.com/partlist/5845/), sells a donut, so you can cut out a 92 degree bend( or what ever you want)...:)
cheers,
