First off I am putting a 1991 non i/c motor into a custom built 1930 Model A. I already tweaked the pump and added 366 spring spring before i pulled the motor. Since the motor has been sitting in the car I added an he351ve. I plan on a fuel pin and dynamic timing kit once i have it running.
First question is about intercooling....I know it is better to have an intercooler but the problem with this set up is if i run one it will sit behind the radiator and probably have to be a smaller one (like 25"x12"). ...will the hot air comming of the radiator make the intercooler useless?
anyone have a clue approximately how hot the air is leaving the turbo and how much an intercooler atually drops the temp? I know it depends on set up, boost etc...but is the compressed air like 150 or like 400 degrees?
Second question is about fuel pins...this car will probably weigh in the ball park of 3500 lbs and be daily driven, it is a hotrod so i need the power but i will be commuting in this deathtrap so i dont want to kill the mileage. would a denny t hurt mileage (I figure i can spool up the vgt turbo quickly and use the instant fuel) or should i go with an M&H middle of the road pin?
Remember for both questions (i think i might have snuck a few more in there) Im not pulling much weight and wont ever tow anything....what are your thoughts?
