Okay to my question. I have done nothing to the pump (other than the fuel pin) and I need to change the water pump, do the KDP, Loctite the cover bolts to the block, and the front cover seal. Also the fuel pump to front cover is now leaking. I have a gasket set for the pump and the 3200rpm spring. I have managed to find the correct part #'s for the more volume lift pump that I will order all of the parts (line, pump. bracket, etc.). I have read some of the "how-to's" but it makes it out a lot harder than it might be. I'm sure that I need to remove all the lines, but will the pump rotate when I pull it out? Should I clock the timing? I'm looking for more power, but I want it to still be reliable, not too crazy. It's my to rig. Is there anything else that I should be looking at? The boost gauge will go up to about 29-30 psi, with the hose not connected to the waist gate.
I do wheel it here and there, but I would like it to be a tow rig that can play, not a toy that can tow.
BTW right now I can pull my Blazer, my quads, fire wood and all my gear ~10,000 lbs of load, up the grapevine/cajon pass, at about 1100* at 22 psi at 58mph. (Pyro is right before the turbo).
