My little project

Postby Deathrod » Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:21 pm

Ive been working on this car for about a year or so and get a lot of info from here so I thought I would try to post some pics of the build. I know this is more of a conversion but the good stuff is just better.
I started with thisImage
and thisImage
then started to build a frameImage
four links all around and airbags to lay some frameImage
Pulled this outImage
chopped and suicided the bodyImage
Put a he351ve onImage
and am now at this pointImageImage
I was making good headway until I had a little one, but with some hope it will run this summer (wont be by any means done) but I live in so cal and am building myself the ultimate commuter vehicle
1930 Model A, 91 non i/c, he351ve over ht3b, bagged all around, mostly built 47rh, 72 lpm sticks, 600hp/1400 ft lbs (cummins math), just needs traction

That thing is TOO COOL!

I'd love to rat rod and 12 valve an old pickup truck some day. Maybe I'll be able to afford to sometime before I die.

That is definitely bad to the bone. I have 2 projects that have been on hiatus for awhile now since my 2 rug rats were born. Hope to hear you get it going

Pretty cool! That car WILL be,is, a sweet ride. Kids have a way of pushing this stuff to the back of the to do list, its a shame but they're worth it.

that would be so cool to commute in, I imagine that hoostack is going to get old fast tho, specialy when the vehicle itself is a tin can. there is nothing much coller than a rat rod

Thanks for the replies. As for it being a rat rod....its not really gonna be ratty when im done with it, Im going to finish body work it and paint it...windows and all. As for the stack being loud i'll probably just put a big stereo system in it. Going to start building a roll cage in it soon....more to tie the chassis together and in case someone t-bones me...dont think it will ever roll being 4" up at ride height.
