Yeah, no regulator, no extra plumbing, no setting the pressure, and no hassles! ;)

so withthe low pressure piston lift pump. There is nothing I dont have to worry about too much pressure for the injection pump? I plan to get a fuel pressure gauge before i upgrade.

Im running the LP pump with no regulator or gauge and have no problems with anything. Don't need a regulator and will be getting a pressure gauge for when I get a bigger lift pump. GOING ELECTRIC BABY!!!!

yeah, but for the price, a regulated HP one would be more bang for the buck right?

When the low pressure ones were cheap it was the better deal. Now that they are way more money, the High pressure may be better. If you need more fuel in the future, the HP one is better because you can turn up the regulator more.

I'm making 350 now on mine, and it didn't drop below 7psi. I have more now since I upgraded the suction lines.

What do you guys think of this. I think it is the low pressure piston lift pump. Very good price compared to others.

I found a low pressure lift pump from pc industries is it part number DS-4944714 for $125.12. This pump is made by Federal Mogul FP-Diesel division. I wonder if this pump will hold the 15psi or is it like the lower pressure Delphi pump! Has anyone bought this pump or know the pressures? i just emailed the company for psi specs!

I run the LPPP and at WOT at the freeway on-ramp it is a 0-3 psi before it gets to the end of the doted line. I personally am not impressed with it. I have 1/2 draw straw and line all the way to the lp, just my 2 cents.

The Carter pump division of Federal Mogul made those pumps for Cummins for years, the last low pressure lift pump they made was Cummins part number 4944714 and I believe Federal Mogul owned the tooling and retained the rights to manufacture aftermarket/replacement parts. This is only a guess, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it turned out that DS-4944714 and 4944714 are the same thing, call it a hunch. In other words, it looks like you just bought the Cummins pump discussed elsewhere in this thread, you can find flow data here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7885
