Effecient turbo / injector combo

Postby Garbage_Mechanic » Mon Jun 27, 2011 3:56 pm

Since maybe I got to windy in my first post, let me ask this way.
What is the best affordable combination of a more effecient turbo and injectors that is proven and not exotic / experimental?
Don't mind fine tuning the smoke screw or even adding a valet switch, just not interested in poor light load fuel mileage, excessive egt and excess smoke. Thanks.

I agree on the 5x.012's as long as they are not Marine angled tips. ( for an intercooled rig that is )
The S300G is a good mid turbo too. Good manners, strong unit. That would work good for a 250 horse working truck.

Bosch 190s are supposed to be good for MPG and egt. They're a little smaller diameter holes, but have more. I don't remember exactly what they are though. Then you could run an he351 from a 3rd Gen. They spool quickly and move a good amount of air. Takes a little fab work to get it hooked up, but you can get one pretty cheap.

I have custom downpipes for hx40 and he351/3rd gen turbo for the 1st gen guys.

5x12 and an s300 57mm sounds pretty good for a truck that still sees a lot of towing service. Its a nice mild/moderate build. If you want a little bigger I can get you 5x13 or 5x14, but 5x14 would be better with a 62mm
