lp piston pump.

Postby meby » Fri Sep 09, 2011 8:55 am

I just ordered a lp piston lift pump and the related parts. Can't wait to see the difference between the old worn out stocker and the new one.
-1991 D-250 bone stock
-2000 Ford Windstar TDI Diesel 5 spd
-1997 Civic Hatchback
-Case 530 CK
-Old Huskee Garden Tractor w/Cub Cadet deck, Simplicity Snow-blower, loaded tires & chains - is it weird the tractor is modded more than my truck?
-Speedex Walking Tractor.
-BCS Walking Tractor

About 10 psi! ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

LOL. I meant power wise. Even before the stocker went bad, I was sucking it dry. With a good lift pump it should crank out a couple more ponies. :D

It should be noticeable. It may even smoke less. DP put one on one of his trucks and the truck ran better and smoked less. More fuel to the IP gave a better atomization must be.

What does a stock lp put out? I have a mechanical Isspro gauge and I am getting about 4.5-5psi on mine...drops a bit at WOT, but not less than 2psi. Normal?

Sounds about right. IIRC, specs are not below 3 psi at WOT, but 2 isn't bad. I've seen them with 2 or 3 at idle and nothing above idle.
