so im dynoing the truck tomorrow and wanted to be able to hotwire the ksb. so i added the wires and switch in the cab and while testing it i have 12v on the wire that plugs onto ksb. i thought i wouldve been good to go. i start the truck, listen to idle, flip the switch then listen to the idle again and it idles smoother. correct me if i am wrong but i thought advancing the timing makes it rattle more at idle, not smoother?
Ive also read that if you have a earlier first gen that its the opposite and adding 12v retards the timing.
Now the engine in my truck is from a 90, but ive since replaced the original injection pump with one from a 92 so im stumped..
any suggestions of what may be wrong?
