3200 spring

On the throttle lever,how many notches does it usually take to reindex it?
93 D250 ,5 speed,4.11s,k&n autometer tach pyro trans boost guages,GDS 60mm h1c 14cm,honed 5x10,hplp/reg,1/8 timing,M+H M2 fuel pin, tims cooler tubz

On mine, none. The 4200 spring is where you have to mess with that

Don't get all excited after only 1 answer....... :mrgreen: I had to move mine 1 notch, and IIRC quite a few others have too. It wouldn't idle unless I gave it some pedal, so I moved the lever clockwise 1 notch.

Mine took about 2 notches to get it right.
92 d350, arp's, orings, 150lb springs, 4200 gsk ,ground pin ,64/71/14 ,ddp inj's, ats manifold, tim's tubez, ats trans, FASS, locker, timing + a tooth, bcdd intake

2001 2wd rclb dually 5sp, smarty, Bluechip FMS, TS MVP, 57/75 twins, stainless diesel pipe kit, valair clutch, airdog 150, DFI SAC 7x.014's, cheap a$$ intake, ARP studs, oringed head, CPP 115# springs

Where does the notches line up un the 4200 spring? I have a new 4200 im about to put in soon...
93 D250- pump maxed, 3800 spring, hx35, denny T pump top, 7x.015 injectors, timing+, Coolertubz, raptor 150, boost nipple, 4" DP to 6" aussie stacks, built tranny, asa intake, DNR tps, more HP mods, isspro boost, fuel pressure, egt, tranny temp, 5k tach, chrome and powder coating here & there.
Not On Yet: 60#VS

I couldn't get mine to idle right after putting the spring in, with the idle screw backed as far out as I could get it, it would still idle @ 1000rpm's. No biggie, clocked it and its just fine ;)

Trial and error. Put your spring in and go from there, adjust as necessary.

So if it won't idle clockwise,idles to high counter clock,right?

I think that I carefully marked and reassembled the throttle lever. I remember all the stickys on the subject made it sound like the end of the world if it was indexed wrong. It's very possible that I put it together wrong :lol:

Yes. And make sure the lever on the throttle shaft goes towards the engine when you install it. If it's backwards it idles down when you step on it. :lol:

Got the spring in, nothing to it at all. My throttle wound up in the same spot as it was with the OE spring.
