Considering changing nozzles... is it worth the trouble?

Postby The_Head » Wed Apr 04, 2012 8:07 am

I was thinking about going down to 5 x 14's to make a better towing rig. I suppose one option would be to call New Era and buy 5 x 14 nozzles to go on the injectors that I have from them. It is my understanding that you have to have the injectors assembled and poptested. How much does this cost and will it be worth the trouble instead of just buying another set of injectors? Just typing this and thinking about it is giving me a bad feeling about it. I know I could sell my 6 x 14's pretty easily. But I wanted to hear what you guys had to say about it.

If it were me, I would buy the other injectors and then my truck wouldn't be down waiting on new nozzles to be put on. I guess it depends on how long the turn around may be, but again, you could probably get some of your money back out of the larger injectors... ;)

More than likely be money ahead to buy the injectors, vs just the nozzles. If you had the equipment to set them up, that would change things. If there is an issue, it isn't something you did assembling them. Need a clean room.
