Will I have to put head studs in or replace the head gasket? What kind of boost will it pull with what I have right now or for now? Where can I get an adapter to fit the hx40 on the exhaust manifold? Not many machine shops that I trust around here.

hx40 exhaust housing (16 gated) be adapted to an hx35 hybrid?

You would need an HX40 exhaust wheel and housing. Then you would have a HX40. The center section is the same for a HX35/40.
The Super HX40 has some oiling mods that a standard HX40 doesn't.
