Way over priced and if they're throwing out numbers like 700-800 horsepower, they need to do some research on the VE record setters.

WOW! They'll even throw in a $16 governor spring and a $100 fuel pin for $550!

Haha, i forgot to mention that too. It made me laugh out loud. If anyone buys one of those we should track them down and beat em with maglites.

I totally agree, what a waste of cash. I will give them props on one thing though. They do give you 1 year warranty, which on a 14mm/4mm combo pump would probably pay for itself in one full season if a guy was competing. Although if you were located far away the shipping would kill you.

Maybe that's what the big money is for. To cover their behind if it pukes. ;)
We do that at work. When we sell a machine, the sales manager figures enough into the deal to cover travel for warrenty repairs for a couple trips. Sometimes he still loses.

It's weird that they're selling a 4mm camplate with a 14 mm plunger with a 1-year warranty.

If they're confident enough in it to really give a 1-year warranty, then they're doing something very special and it deserves to cost that much.

Lets buy one and see how long until it seizes and how they void the warranty.

That final statement in the posted warranty . . .

This warranty does not apply to any part or unit that has been altered or repaired by anyone other than DCP. Nor, to any product which has been subject to misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, improper installation, or damage from foreign material such as water or dirt. This warranty will only be honored at the facilities of DCP.

Hmmm. ;)

Hummmm, indeed.

Sounds like you couldn't use it for anything. They covered all the bases there.

"Sorry, we found traces of dirt/water inside said pump" Warrenty denied.

That is what I did with a pump from an injection shop in West Virginia. They don't say what they do. The guy who installed it said the fuel screw was turned in to the point of siezing it to the pump threads. He installed a Bully Dog cut fuel control cone and it didn't work. So, I opened up the pump to find out why.

Simply cut the end off the reverse lever. If I remember correctly, the fuel screw was siezed because the garage who R&R'ed the injection pump had to turn the screw in to get the performance. They threaded it in so far as to cut new threads into the pump top "O" ring bore. I replaced the pump top and mad adjustments to the throttle travel and reindexed the shaft, yadda, yadda.................

I guess that pump isn't for anyone since there aren't any 700-800hp VE Dodges. ;)
