What Next?

Postby cummins king » Tue Dec 16, 2008 8:34 pm

I'm working and trying to design some things for my truck to get the most power out of it. I have some ideas, but what is next?

The limiting factor is the IP, but what else can we do to get more fuel out of it? Has anybody tried honing out the rotor in the 14mm head?

I am curious - have you a good enough, large enough turbo setup that your cleaning up your 6x20's?

If not I would suggest you need more air not more fuel. ;) and I dont think that an hx40/ht60 combo is it, from what I have seen in the pulling wars.

We dont have the rpm to sustain/lite a large enough set of twins (s400 over k31 for example) or very large single like an S488 or GArret GT42 to provide enough air.

I have changed injectors to something a little smaller. But with a 4mm cam plate and 12mm H&R i could clear it up no problem.

I have seen the hx40 and ht60 hold well over 850hp in some second gen pulling trucks. But i would like a GT42 or GT45 but they are hard to find, and pricy.

Will bigger lines make more power, or will the dv's restrict, the extra fuel needed to fill the bigger lines?

Non intercooled lines are just slightly bigger...maybe just a little piece to the puzzle of gettin you more fuel and not sinking big bucks in custom lines. just an idea.
