will too small of an intake cause EGT problems (too hot)? basicly, with my setup i have stock intake due to lack of funds

and im curious if a bigger one will drop EGT's??? i know i will see higher boost from a higher cfm, but im curious if the loss of restriction pre turbo will help with the temp?
any thoughts appreciated
