Decided to do all the easy free stuff to the 93 today. Took the pump linkage off and ground the high idle stop off, and where it hit the fuel inlet line. I also ground the fuel pin and nylon washer. Took it for a spin and it pulled hard to 50 mph in 3rd gear, ran awesome. It made a bit of smoke at WOT spooled up, Went home to find that the shutdown solenoid was pooched. So I shut it off with the fuel kill. Fired it up again and decided to turn the fuel screw in some more anyways, with the truck running.Turned it in a good 1.5 turns before it bottomed out. No increase in idle speed. Took it for another spin, and it feels like I turned the screw almost back to stock. Won't make a hint of smoke once it spools, it'll still hit 50 mph in 3rd, but doesn't pull near as hard. I pulled the fuel screw, it looked fine, so I bottomed it again, with the truck off this time. No difference. I made sure the horizontal fuel pin was working freely, and it left a track on the vertical pin. Soo did I bugger something up playing with the fuel screw, or is the shutdown solenoid screwing up fuel flow, or could there be debris from the shutdown solenoid blocking something? Ideas?
