Well I spent the last two weeks workin on the truck. I bought a used silver bullit (66/74 .80ar) so I caould still make the dyno meet this saturday. I fliped the manifold and built a wastegate adapter. Rebuilt all of my cac tubes, put two stages of nitrous in the hot side tube, removed the afc lever and installed 366 spring, customized the throttle linkage to get real full throttle, built a co2 spraybar for the intercooler, turned in the fuel screw a lttle more to the verge of run away.
I set the wastegate up to be electronically controlled by a hobbs switch and come on with the nitrous arming switch. I left the timing stock to try and save the head gasket so I'll probobly lose some there.
After working out a few bugs the truck is real strong I think. Even with the bigger turbo I can hit about 57 psi now with the afc out and it is still fogging black bad. With the throttle mods it is still full fueling at 3600 where I let off. With the wastegate on it limits to about 42lbs. I havent hit the nitrous yet. I wanna see what it makes on fuel first and if all goes well I'll bring in the nitrous one stage at a time. The meet is this saturday so we'll see.
