Why would you need hills.....ski rope and a truck

So you can knock out or pull out the stock oil drain nipple in the block?

Yeah its just pressed in. I usually use a chisel and a hammer to drive it out, or some good vice grips and some twisting and heat on the block.

Well I found out the hard way, the oil drain nipple is not simply 'wedged' in there. Note to self and others: don't try to use a cheater pipe to pry the nipple out of the block    .. Broke the sucker right off at the raised 'stop' right at the block. Ended up getting the broken piece out, but now I need an oil drain nipple  .

Go out back and burn some weeds. It'll make you feel better. :D

PS, with the torch, not the illegal weeds. ;)

No I didn't go that big. I'm using an off the shelf s400 part number 171702, 2.9 in 3.4 out, some say it's a 3 in 3.5 out. Using my 'Sledpuller 66' with 14cm housing as the secondary. If it's too slow to make low rpm power that a VE pump motor needs to make good power, I'll try one of a few things. A 12cm housing for the s300, a smaller s300 like a 62/71 12 or 14cm housing or get a s400sx turbine housing cut for the 3.4 s400 exhaust wheel   . Then I'd have to choose between a .90, 1.0 or 1.10 AR :D . From what I understand with this s400 there's only one housing available, the 1.32 ar.

sounds great,

I am no expert, It seems that people are very happy with the 62/71/12 over s400 combo.

how soon before it is done? do you have any pics?

I am in a delema with too many irons in the fire, and too many turbo options, as of right now I own a good H1e, hy55vgt, ht60, s300g, 62/68/14, and some others, I am not sure what I want to run.

I want to use the hy55vgt because it meets 2.8 class rules for pulling, but I really like twins too. I am still making progress on it but it is slow.

I best not talk about it too much because Bill will get mad if I off track his thread

Send me a VGT and I'll try my best to get it working.

Publish my results and send it back afterwards, of course.

The oil drain nipple part number is 3903744 about $25 from Cummins. Luckily I have a good junkyard nearby and went and picked up two nipples no charge :D. Could've gotten at least 5 or 6 more from all the B and C series cores laying around 8) .
