On my 89 when I advanced the timing it turned it into a dog off the line. That was with the stockers. My 93 with the 6x16s has stock timing and seems to be real strong off the line.

I have another thought or question. The pods pop at a higher pressure correct? So advancing the timing on pods will actually make it pop at the correct time. The 6X16' s should have been set up at stock pressures?? So would that not change how they act when comparing the two ??

In most cases more timing means less bottom end...

I saw a 93 at spring fling make 393 HP and only 742 TQ because his timing was jumped a tooth and then another half way to the head

so then they would be great with the stock timing if im readin this right i got mine not too dang long ago like last week i think, the pop pressure is stock at 245 and i havent jumped a tooth yet just bout a 1/8" from the head and got doggy bottom end so then if i got to just above stock it should be good right?

I should play with my timing to see the difference. I am very happy with my bottom end power. My truck is tuned mild and that may be why it is fine with stock timing. I would bet I am at no more then 300 hp. I am going to dyno later this year. I don't need any more power then I have.

ok well i went out and played with the timing im now bout 1/8 to 3/16" over factory and still spools about 18psi is that alright with 6x16s i can still only getup to 49-50psi,then when i hook a jumper wire to the batt and the ksb it spools at 20psi and pulls harder in the upper rpm like 2k and more still 49-50psi.how do i get more bottom end like from 1600 to 2200 rpm do i need less fuel

I also have the stock H1C with a gds 60 mm upgrade. It may spool different then your 62. Yours is a much better unit as far as power and better cooler air but maybe mine lights earlier and then farts out where yours is just comming to is happy place.
