Shut off solenoid??

How to make it go fast

The tip of the plunger chips off from the backwash when you let off the throttle too quick. All that fuel is moving, and when you let off, it has no place to go. Just like huffing a turbo. If you want to bypass, just pull the spring and plunger, and put the solenoid back in.
You can't clean the rubber off the end. There is a hole in the end of the metal part of the plunger. I saw where somebody removed the rubber and welded a small nut on the end of the plunger. I removed it and welded the hole shut, then ground it smooth. Sometimes mine still "diesels" to a stop, as opposed to shutting off quick.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

My 89 screaches to a stop and my 93 has always turned a few more turns. Not really running but not an abrupt stop either. It was that way at stock as well.

What, you've never jumpstarted a dead battery and then driven until it was all charged again?

Supposedly it's hard on the batteries, but it's done all the time.

No, I never heard of anyone starting a vehicle and THEN installing a dead battery to charge it. That'swhat you said you did.

Don't you have a battery charger that plugs into the wall? Seems like alot of work to charge a battery, not to mention what happens if you shut if off somewhere after you forget you have a dead battery in the truck.

I don't got a battery charger, all I got is a jury-rigged PC power supply...

The fact is that I CAN run without a battery. I'm probably one on .001% of cars on the road that can run without a battery. It's a cool ability.

so I can sand off the end of the cone and it should work?

I dont have a prob with removin the rubber and modifyin the tube too if necessary

I do have a couple extra shutoff solenoids to work with

By the way - back in the day when cars still had generators instead of alternaotrs, puttin in a dead battery to be charged was very very commonplace , cuz the battery chargers in the day would not jumpstart a dead battery to start charging whereas the car system would
Today it is a dangerous process because alternators are not as forgiving and can be blown very easily - but yes it can be and is still done to this day

ok so the solenoid is fixed, and I removed and cleaned all of the delivery valves

however the amount of rubber that came out of the delivery vlaves doesnt add up to whats missin from the solenoid

Is it possible for the pieces to have been small enough to have got beyond the delivery valves?

I do think i have a slight miss but that might be air, or am i lookin at havin my injectors tore apart and cleaned too?
