alright you may want to make sure you get the right company before you comment them. i did not buy theese off of ebay. i bought them from my local diesel shop in Red oak iowa. i went and talked to him about the injectors he builds atleast 5 times before i ever said i was getting any. the day i went down to get them i asked if i could watch him build them. he said yeah. so i got there and watched him build 6 injectors for me. stan is who i deal through down there and his dad set them up for me. they are a great buiseness. very down to earth people and i was amazed how much stan and his dad knew about diesels. oh his mom who ran the front counter knew more about diesels then most guys that own them. so my thoughts on Red Oak diesel clinic are A+ service A+ customer service and A+ products. if anyone has any questions abotu this company i can help ya out

i have been searching EBAY for bout 20 minutes adn cant find one single product of there's. technically i dont think they would sell on ebay cause they are not big enough to do so, not putting them down or anything but they are a small town diesel shop. oh and no spray paint on my injectors?

OK that is clear as mud. What does a ebay user in Omaha have in common with a diesel shop in Iowa? Are you saying the guy in Omaha buys injectors from Red Oak, paints them up and sells them on ebay?

All I know is the Ebay seller is going to get very few sales with that kind of a shipping rate.
They would cost me, AT MOST, $15 to ship anywhere in the U.S.

These type of sellers NEVER reply to shipping cost questions, either.

It says there is a $150 core charge added into the shipping that is refunded when you send in your cores. So the shipping is about $15.31 not too bad. When I 1st saw it I was like you DAMN $160 to ship! Then I read the payment instructions that explained it.

I guess it depends on whether or not you can read an eBay listing.

It "is" nice to know who you're dealing with especially when it comes to spending hundreds (and in the case the newer injectors thousands) of dollars. I just think it's funny when people trying to sell stuff come on forums like this dissing the competition. There was a pair of real winners on another forum a few weeks ago going back and forth page after page, making all sorts of unsubstantiated accusations, literally threatening each other with legal action, slamming each other about some injectors.

Too funny.

Trite little indirect barbs do nothing but stir the pot. If you got something to say, just say it.

Just sayin. 8)

Ace, If I read EVERYTHING in those longwinded, "blowing-smoke-up-everyone's ass-to-confuse-and-BS-them, while-touting-how-my-product-is-better-than-someone-elses", then I would have seen his comments about the core and shipping being combined, but adding both together and calling it "shipping" seems kinda' gay to me.

So, I don't "ALWAYS" read what's being said, but then a good number of others don't either.
For good reason, TOO MUCH INFO AND RHETORIC.

My ads are simple and to the point.
Here's what I have, here's the (short) description, condition, price and shipping cost.
All else is window dressing.

How was your airbox, BTW? :D

What do you drive?

That Ebay ad is for Red Oak, I know quite a few people that have dealt with him. I have nothing against what he does, just doesn't make sense to have a full page of ranting with no "actual" information about what you are buying.

iowacummins, you still running those injectors? recently ive been looking around on the "evil bay" and found the ones everyone was talking about on here. so i emailed the "diesel dude" and this is what he told me

Hi Justin. In regards to the Cummins performance injectors for your 1992 Dodge, the injectors that I build are 5 x .012". I am using brand new non-modified (no EDM, no extrude hone) Bosch sacless nozzle valve assemblies (spray tips) in the injectors that I build. If you want to keep these engines clean on smoke, you must use a sacless nozzle valve assembly design. The sacless design was created for emissions purposes, and is the design that all of the stock Dodge Cummins injectors have used since 1991. Most of the aftermarket "performance" injectors, such as marine injectors, DDP injectors, and Lucas POD injectors, use a small sac area nozzle valve assembly design. The small sac area nozzles are what you find on off-road applications, and will produce more smoke, higher EGT's, and less fuel mileage, along with more hazing at idle. I have found that the combination of our performance injectors, a 12cm turbocharger exhaust turbine housing, our custom performance air intake, and adjusting the injection pump for maximum fuel delivery, will produce 325-350 HP/750-800 FT-LBS of torque from these first generation Dodge trucks, and still be clean on exhaust smoke, while producing 22-23 MPG at 60 MPH with a 5-speed transmission. This combination will produce 33-35 psi of boost on the original Holset H1C, and 37-38 psi of boost on a Holset HX-35. Maximum exhaust temperature will be 1200-1250 F at the exhaust manifold (maximum safe temperature is 1350 F). I have brand new Holset 12cm non-wastegated turbine housings in stock for $244. Our custom air intakes sell for $259, and can be viewed in my other items for sale.

does this sound like the same fella to you? i like his claim of 2-3 more mpgs...which is the main seller point for me. did you notice any difference mpg wise and hp wise?

thanks man justin

Hey guys, sit down and take a deep breath. Relax. Lets get back to why we are all here. Performance. That is were off the shelf ends and the experiments begin. This thread is about a small time shop making injectors. Not an off the shelf mass manufacturer or wannabe. Are there scams? Yes. Are there experimenters that haven't got it all down yet? Yes. That is were we come in. We are the guinea pigs, the real world test beds. Instead of dissing some poor slob that is trying to make a better injector, work with them. With collaboration, not attacks, we can separate the wheat from the chaff.
RIP 91.5 W250 5 speed. The great experiment.
