Celebrity, That would be Jason Sands not me i`m just trying to find where a Diesel Ramcharger would be classified. If its not a 1st gen or truck then what is it a SUV per SILVRCUMNS he does not know how to spell let alone classify it a suv what is next a predecessor of the mini van.

Rc's are suv's not trucks. They don't count. More like a car though if anything.

What makes it a first gen.what year ? 1981 to 1993 or do you go back to 1973? or do you start at 1988 ? Does a p pump count ? Does a Ramcharger count they have the same doors that dont close and lock like the rest of them? Does Cole Dow and red ramcharger count for the fastest side by side drag race within 1st gens? please help im new at this web site thanks in advance

Didn't Cole win those races? I don't think those count either as both vehicles have way too much money wrapped up in them.

YES, Cole did win one of those races but that is drag racing and what is to much money $20,000.00 ? there is a guy selling one for that much in the classifieds . SILVRCUMNS I bet you drive a 3rd gen?

Holy run on sentence. Harvey Grant holy cow, I think I met you at a dyno once. I'm sorry that your bastard child of a car is not an accepted 1st gen but don't let that get you down. You still have the " Worlds Fastest Diesel Powered Ramcharger" title to keep your ego up. But here are my thoughts.Back in the day there were no SUV's only the vehicle names. So then we go to a post that said " it's a bed-less truck". Well a truck without a bed is either a van or a car. So take your pick.

Yes Mr. Harvey I do own a 3rd gen. But last I remember you do as well. And if my memory serves me correct you wouldn't dyno it because it is "the worlds slowest twin turbo common rail". As far as what is too much I would say this Jason Sands character has a much better idea of what that value is. And I quote "No First Gen guy would ever shell out the cash for one!" I think a ban of silvrcummins is in order. Seems like a troll to me. On here with 2 posts and stir up chit with both....

1st Gen in my opinion is this:

Any square bodied truck from 7?-93. All parts in between can fit as made or have minimal modifications.

1st Gen diesel:

Any vehicle in which a Cummins can fit with NO firewall mods in which the vehicle is made before 93. Yes, 1st Gen crew cabs are part of this.

Doesn't matter if it has a VE (most of us), P-pump (RonA) or CR (Who has one??? I cannot remember his name...), if its in a 1st Gen BODIED styled truck, its a FRICKEN 1st GEN! BED OR NOT! And they made RC with removable tops so yeah, not a dedicated bed but one nonetheless...

Seems I recall those being good features....





Plus it just was plain damned funny to see the looks on the faces of people when I rolled up in a rattling RamCharger.

If it has the aerodynamics of a brick, leaf springs front n rear (4wd obviously) and real vent wing glass then in my book it`s a 1st Gen...1971(?) thru 1993...and YES Ramcharger`s count.

I also catch myself saying ( theres a first gen ) even a gaser, but i think the term was
made for the 89-93 cummins powered trucks, that don't mean i don't like the otherstuff
mentioned in this thread, i'm really liking the older stuff whether it be a chevy or
dodge truck 1/2 ton or what ever with a cummins conversion.
