I wouldn't sweat the whole not holding up stuff. I've installed several of them with absolutely zero issues.....BUT they also are not molested either. In other words,I'm not needing them to pump 30 something pounds to fuel some monster. These are work horse trucks pimpin VP44 time bombs.
