That is a decent price for an s300g assuming it has the 71mm turbine, as for the s400's that part number usually turns up on ebay for around $700 fairly frequently. If you don't have any luck there I can get them for the prices I listed plus shipping for you if need be.

For a cheap twin setup you can get Schwitzer 169417 s300 for the bottom turbo ($700), and 171702 S400 for the top($650). That setup can support 500-800hp.
How is that for some ingredients. 8)

So, the part number that you listed is for a 71mm turbine S300, right? Do you have the specs for both turbos? Thanks.

The s300 listed is a 62x71 and the s400 is a 75x88. The s300 can flow about 55lbs/min of air and the S400 flows 90lbs/min. Both are effecient(70%) at pressure ratios of up to 4.

BGilbert and KTA, thanks for the turbo specs.

I did a google search on both the S300 and S400 part numbers and came up with this place that has the S400 listed for $656.78 with no core charge (http://www.fleetsource.com/Detroit_60_Series_Turbo_p/171702.htm).
I have no experience with them, but the price is probably going to be hard to beat. I didn't find anything on the S300 yet.

They didn't turn up because I think I searched for Schwitzer and the part numbers. Didn't think to do the search with Borg Warner and the part numbers  . Darn turbo companies making things difficult. Wish those guys listed prices on their website. Also found these guys: http://www.centralturbos.com/pop-werks7a.htm. Don't know anything about either place but it looks like you could order from either one.

For a s400 171702, you just missed out. HTT had them listed on their website for $625. I called and questioned them, told them I'd take one for that price and found out they raised the price to $750. They said ah shoot when I told em it was still listed for the lower price. He honored it 8) 8) . I see now they've changed the listing to the higher price. Probly gonna be hard to find one that cheap now. Scheid has a s300 62/71 for $995 last I was in there.

They did have the S300 on there that KTA referenced for $795. They recently removed their prices.

i just called them and they said nfw

not 795

not 995

if i could get a new 62-71 for 800 bucks i would jump on that deal

he did say he could custom build a 400, to be used as a single, with a 72 turbine and i think he said a 66 compressor for around 1500

that was joe at the indy store
