i had my intake off yesterday and i was lookin down there witha puzzled look thinkin of how i would mount the bottom turbo abd i seen the motor mount thinkin that would be a good place to put it but then again my manifold is still in stok position so right now it looke like there isnt much room lol but htat will change this summer when i get a new manifold and have it flipped over to allow enough room for the 3406 cat wastegated turbo im gonna get like next week. ill post pics of it too if i can, im gonna prolly end up rebuildin it so its all up to snuff for this dyno season but then my problem will be the 5 inch dp goin past the t/c. i played with evil with just 4 inch pipe lol

FUN!
Those cell phone videos really don't do it justice. It spools faster when you mash into it, but I had to ease into it for the videos. My buddy in the passenger seat couldn't hold the phone steady enough otherwise. I've taken Tacoclaw and JustinRhodes for a ride in it, maybe they can give a few unbiased opinions, but I'm happy with it.

It'll be a little while before that happens...I think my 291K+ VE took a dump. Waitin' on a new one. Probably going to put an Airdog on at the same time. Just when I was starting to have fun.

see thats the thing about a ve...even when they take a dump you cant blame them....because they still took a dump after 291k miles...thats much more than most IP's will hold it :)

I would hardly consider my opinion unbiased, being a fellow 1st gen owner and all. You need to get some weenie 2nd or 3rd gen owner to vouch for you.

His truck does easily put mine to shame. It spools like my 12cm S300, but never stops pulling after that. It was enough to convince me that mine is getting a set this winter.

I know, I love that old truck. I had planned on a freshened up pump sometime, but I guess it just decided when. Thanks for the third party description Levi.

Since you can swap a P-pump onto one of those overvalvers, why not a VE? Keep the variable timing, keep the airflow, lose the electronics. Seems like a win-win.

I guess it depends on what he does with it, but I know it'd be nice to have the lower EGTs my cousin has on his 24valve.

Also, what's the plan on the new pump, Andrew? Stock replacement? Fully custom P-pump shamer? Top secret? 8)

Well, as much as I'd like to have a fire breathin' 14mm, I'm gonna stick with a worked over 12mm. I drive the truck a lot and don't want to have issues with reliability. If I had unlimited cash I would go with something really crazy, but sadly that's not the case. I'll probably go ahead and upgrade my fuel system at the same time, probably an Airdog 2 165 or normal Airdog 150.

I went with an Airdog 150 for a p pump motor and a 12mm VE setup for the added pressure. Its up to 289cc at 3300rpm and counting... 8)
