I felt this was important(uncalled for) enough for my Facebook, so it'll surely be appreciated here:

Wanted to run the valves on the old Dodge tonight but could not find my feeler gauges anywhere. Spent 20 minutes looking for them, then gave up and came inside. Two hours later I look down while I'm taking a leak and there they are on the bathroom floor, laying beside a 10mm wrench.

I'm recently single, so I've been desperately searching for an excuse to replace my FB pic with the pic of Foul Bachelor Frog. If that doesn't qualify, I don't think anything does.

Could be worse. I found a 9/16" with my lawnmower after my boy decided to fix his bike in the middle of the yard. Id much rather find tools in the bathroom!

I had a '78 F-150 that I bought as a half finshed project. It had a rag joint steering shaft and a body lift. Instead of using a longer shaft, the PO stuffed 2 9/16" sockets in the rag joint to make it longer. Not real safe with 38.5" Super Swampers. I found a screwdriver in it too. All Craftsman tools 8)

Racist.

I'll be back in a while, hopefully with a pic with the top end buttoned up and the secondary at least mocked on. (Forgot my freaking manifold gaskets again)

Also,

Acting like he doesn't like it.

Anyways, here's the progress:

Forgot to throw my hotpipe and blankets on for the photo op, but it's all got to come off for manifold gaskets anyways...

It doesn't look too horrible, I kept most of it on the inside of the VC. I also had no idea there were factory covers with fill caps on them. I noticed that 4 out of my 6 VCs had cast-in rings, so I used them to center where I made the hole.

That ratchet is 3/8", but it's handle is a long as most 1/2" ratchets so it's great for stripping out aluminum threads. Not to mention how many scars it's added to my knuckles.

It's still my favorite ratchet by far.,
