From the way it was told to me, that's why you can't ingage the GV until 20 MPH, and it automatic disengages below 20 MPH as the pressure is not high enough to hold the clutch, and would cause it to slip.

do you run the controller thing or is yours just on a switch?

I was temped to just put a switch..............But i have the controller and is completely hooked up.

The mileage counter is kinda nice and and has saved my but several time when i have pulled it into 4X4 and then thru the switch to get over drive.......forgetting i had it in 4wd :wrench:

maybe that is why you can use the unit going down hill?

mine is on a switch and they told me i would prolly blow it up in a few months

backing up or forgetting to disengage when coming to a stop or hitting the jake brake in od on grade

Hmmm, that vary interesting, so(I'm guessing) that mean that when you switch is in the on position and you come to a stop(pump stops pumping, no hydr pressure) the spring loaded piston and or clutch can't inguage do to the valve being keep electicly closed holding hyd pressure agains the piston and the 2nt clutch disinguages do to no pump pressure......

DTanklage, does you truck act like it go's into nutral when you decelerate, in over drive?....... or just when you us your exh brake............

When i want to be able to us the GV in low range, i remove the 4x4 conector form the controller(contoller don't now if you vehical is 4wd or not) and un lock my hubs.

I tryed this for drag racing reason..........evan with a 1/8 mile track......ran out of rpm before i hit the finish line..............Ya bad idea, didn't work at all :bh:
