Now my dad's truck.......it behaved itself for the last 5 years, then in the middle of trapping season I almost caught it on fire when he wasn't looking. I HATED that truck for about 3 months.

People ask why I have two fire extinguishers in my truck.

Now you all know.

That reminds me...I need to buy one for the Pile when it gets close to being finished...

Exactly...........

It would go like this

Eric in the tuff looking rc.......did surprisingly well in every category and surprisingly fell in the dead middle of the pack. Because his truck is not a master of anything, it just tries to do everything.

My thought would be everyone go to Redding CA, 2014. That's a hair under a year away. I would be willing to make it up there. The event ie already going on, and we could come in a group. I think they have a dyno, sled going on also?

For you guys who want to do a competition through the mountains then a meeting point could be made and calculations could be made from point "x" to Redding.

Then I'm sure some of the local boys could give a good place to go to do the braking and "high" speed turning. I will sit back with the GoPro for that one and watch the comedy unfold.

I think Jermey(stomp) is up in that neck of the country. Maybe he can chime in? Isn't that where the show down between him and Jason went down?

Would also suggest posting on DTR and Compd if everyone tought it was a good spot. Gives guys a good bit of time to get time off work, save money, and get tow rigs ready.

Great idea.

I feel that is the best place, especially since we could use "west coast" dynos, LOL.

Actually it's more of a load vs. inertia thing to me.

Anywho............I just feel no one from east of the Mississippi would come out to play.

I "might".......I could turn it into a vacation for the wife and i. If it's far enough off for a date I'd bring out the 82 if it's ready. I dont think id beat on my old man,it would be pucker factor for real in the driver seat if I was to. It's kinda stupid,I can/could kill anything I have built and wouldn't care in the least......but not this bought truck. No I treat it better than anything I ever have

Your feeling is, IMO, quite correct.

Yeah I understand, that's a long row to ho for central and east coasters.

What about the 1st gen meet that happens at someone's place? Isn't that in Nebraska or near by? When is that meeting? Is there any sled pulls or dyno places near there? Sorry I should know where, who and when. Am I kicked out of the square body club for not knowing?

The reason I suggested Redding was its already all set up. The tour did stop by here in AZ last year but track didn't sign up this year because of unknown reasons.....

I'm ready to hear some honest suggestions. I'm willing to put a few miles on the odometer (of the tow rig) but I need a bunch of time to get work situated, meaning a months notice wouldn't work for me.
