The stock governor doesn't have much to do with the transmission's capablity. I can get up to 95 before my 3200 RPM spring hits the brick wall, and I think he said he was running a 4200 RPM spring... I'd be happy as a clam if I could get to that point in a quarter mile.

RIGHT! That's what I said to myself three years ago. LOL
He could easily get the rpms out of it to turn that mph. Don't forget about tire size.

The question is whether or not he can do it fast enough, though...

Are you sure there aren't any gasser or common rail utility trucks out there, Brian? I'm sure somebody'd debate that you're the fastest...

Uh, it is a 727 with 3.07's. The truck is wound up pretty good at the top end.

I have never run into any that were faster, and that is the way they announce me at St. Louis dragway, so they must not have seen any either.

LOL
I know I have'nt seen anything even close to Brians speed.
Let see here; Brians truck is heavier, a manual, runs on #2 only and still is way faster than all. IMPRESSIVE!

Oh Ive noticed the top end power, believe me. I just never considered the 4200 spring.

You see, we can't do anything to steal his thunder on the mechanical, performance, speed, competition end of things... But the linguistic nit-picking arena hasn't been conquered by him yet!

Altough I haven't found any sub-13 second utility bed anything yet, so the claim holds up the fair bit of examination. And if somebody does have a utility truck that's faster, I will be willing to bet that it isn't 7500 lbs like Brian's is...
