An engine I bought a while back has yielded a set of 24 valve 7x14 injectors! :D
I can see this being a real stump puller, if this goes to fruition. 8)

Any opinions on what turbo to run with the 7x14 injectors in this theoretical 6.7 build?

Are the vp sticks going to have the correct spray angle for the 6.7 bowls?

153* sticks, 146* bowls, difference of 7* and the 6.7 has a larger diameter bowl.
I have looked at 148* sticks, but they are no larger than stock VP injectors and cost $450.

IF the VP injectors have more tip protrusion than the OEM 6.7 injectors have, then it should turn out fine.

I'll be honest, I have NO CLUE.
All I know is that an HE351cw won't stand a chance of working on this thing.

One of the cheap t4 s300s might be just the ticket with those big injectors and the added displacement of the 6.7, but I really don't know. I'll never have enough money to play with a 6.7.

If I hadn't bought the shortblock for under $1000, I wouldn't be "playing" with a 6.7, either.

If you figure what I have into it, piecemeal, it's not as much as some, but still a notable amount.
If I do what I am pondering doing, I'll have to get head studs and make sure the deck and head is square.

Then there is getting the pump set-up properly, because it's certainly not going to fuel these injectors very well as-is.

Cool to see you considering a performance build. Don't change your mind and sell it all.

If it becomes a PITA, it's gone.
I don't take adversity from parts very well.

A s300 with the 73 turbine would be a minimum IMHO. I've seen 64mm s400 off a Detroit pree cheap on fleebay

I appreciate the comments so far.
This isn't going anywhere if I don't get off my butt and finish tearing the shortblock down and get the block's face re-worked for the early timing case.
I also need to decide which cam to run (leaning towards the VP cam) and get a set of non-CR rods re-bolted and sized.

All in a time when parts selling is, shall we say, minimal.

Thanks for the link. :)
IIRC, it was priced beyond my budget.
