4" Downpipe?

Postby ryanihf250 » Fri Aug 10, 2007 7:40 pm

What distributor has a just a 4" downpipe that they sell for a 92 Cummins? I can only find a 3" one. I am wanting to add stacks but I want a 4" downpipe.
Thanks
Ryan

You could try contacting these guys, they might sell just the downpipe http://www.dieselpro.net/product.html?pcfid=45 or Stans Exhaust http://www.stans-headers.com/diesel.htm scroll down their price list.

I just built my own. Not too hard at all. 2 4" 90*s and a 3" flange, had one elbow and bought the other and the flange from airflo.com. With 2 elbows, flange, and a foot of pipe, itd run you bout $90 shipped probably (from airflo).

rbrettctd if you look at his sig he has a W series. It is a lot harder to fab your own system on them.

With the 4" downpipe you better get the next two pipes to go with it. The area around the transfer case will be hard to mfg the pipe without a bender. A stan's 4" system has a couple of bends that come in around a 30 degree bends.

I have most of a stans 4" on my dually.

I just meant the down pipe. I bought a system for mine several years ago and just built the dp. My pipe has the drop for the transfer case, I had it swapped for straight pipe to regain clearance. With about $200 or so in elbows and pipe, and the flange, one could make the 4" dp and get the exhaust around the transfer case and to the stacks.

Or fab your own dp and a muffler shop (the one I deal with could anyway) could get you to the bed for about $100. I had 5' of pipe put in and only cost me $50.
