im keeping a close eye on it as is. lol. almost distracting while driving watching it. i have thought about upgrading this turbo, but then quickly realize that i plan on going bigger, so i need to save for that.

well, even though i was looking for something bigger, i found an hx35 on the cheap, so i jumped on it

should be here in a few days. other than that i havent gotten anything done. it is cold out there. and with a winter storm warning in effect, i dont think i will be doing any wrenching for a couple days.

i have found that i really need to adjust the smoke screw and starwheel. im smoking way to much before the turbo lights up. but with a smaller exhaust housing on the hx35, it should spool up way nicer :D

mine spools really nice, but its still not enough and gets hot relatively easy if i have it cranked up. Great improvement over the stock h1c tho :D

hit a road block...or maybe it was the tech that was working on it. long story...had my dad take the truck to work. since he is the service manager at walmart tire center i had him take it in for oil change and basic checks.

while changing the oil, the tech started the truck to check for leaks and oil pressure, but forgot to take it out of gear first

so the truck drove off of the lift and beat the heck out of the bed and cab.

more pictures to come.

Dude, have them pay for EVERYTHING that is possibly wrong, even to the point of a new truck if that frame is tweaked.

I fricken HATE Walmarts service department. Where do I start? Not honoring their tire warranties, stripped oil pan drains, destroying the front end on a brand new HHR, claiming that their tech put in enough oil...

That is all in my family too.

dad will be making sure they fix EVERYTHING.

i will have more pictures of the damage this morning. not sure on the details of what will happen with repairs yet, but rest assured even if the frame is fine, its going to the shop to have it straightened. these frames are a big weak point on these trucks, and as you can see, both of the rear wheels are off of the ground.

i was hoping when i woke up this morning it would have just been a f'ed up dream, but that didnt work out all that well. still there in my driveway

I hope I'm totally wrong about this but I've got a bad feeling on this one and how this is going to sort out. Walmart's legal team will accuse your vehicle as having a modified or failed safety feature which resulted in the accident. Your neutral safety switch was bypassed or failed which resulted in the vehicle improperly starting. You will receive a bill from Walmart for the damages done to both the lift and the building's door frame, operator, and door plus all the labor involved in the replacement. When you object to this your dad will be called into the office and be counciled on his job. If he continues to disagree with them he will eventually be found guilty of doing something improper and be either demoted or asked to leave his job for failing to be a Walmart team player.

I was worried about the same thing, but he said no questions asked they were going to fix it. So I'm going to go with that for now. This whole thing is just ridiculous. Very upset about this. The guy said he didn't know that it was a stick. How? The giant shifter sticking out of the floor was not an indicator?

I have to agree with Bob and Jon on this one, and I hope your Pops' doesn't get thrown under the bus by the corporate/safety big shots.

Take this as it is, a learning experience. We all love our 1st gens, I, and I am sure most of the guys/gals on here don't let someone with lesser experience mess around with our trucks. It's a shame to see what happend to your truck, but honestly, it doesn't suprise me with the quailty of work that SOME walmarts' and other shops' put out. The best thing you can do is learn and do the simple stuff yourself, i.e., routine maintenanace. You get peace of mind knowing that YOU did the work and YOU know it's done right.
