Postby TheTowingCowboy » Mon May 07, 2012 7:01 pm

Title says it all any place I can buy one new... and not have to trade in my first born child? And anyone have a clue where I could get unbent fuel lines so I can just bend them my self.

sheid, industrial, keating can all get you unbent lines, just specify VE ends and they can get whatever size you want.

ive got a set waiting to be bent up from sheid, cost me just over 300$

best place to ask about the inter/middle/after cooler is cummins

Why not just buy the factory tubes?

Ok, but that's an aftercooler, a middlecooler is the one in front of the radiator. Man it's hard to start a new trend when you guys don't GET it!
Lines aren't a big deal, go the Case dealer and tell them you need the lines for a 2144 Axial-flow combine with a serial number prior to JJC0173150. Or if you ask nice I could give them to you as I have the parts breakdown in my hand.
Only thing is, that 'cooler ( ;) )looks way bigger than normal, so I have a doubt that the lines are correct with out comparing measurments.

For Case/IH ordering - about half of what Cummins wants, replace the first '3' in the part number with a ' J '.

How tall is the aftercooler above the inlet flange of the head? Does the heating grid add to that?

Trying to see if it will fit under the hood of my truck.

Thanks,
Don

Your grid heater won't work with the factory aftercooler. I'm heading to work but if nobody's answered I'll measure mine when I get home.

I've seen pictures of a different grid heater for the aftercooled engines. It was long and skinny to match the shape of the bottom of the aftercooler. Part nos for the grid heater spacer are 3928464 and the heater itself 3928465. Found them here:

Tacoclaw,

Did you get a chance to measure the height of your aftercooler?

Thanks,

Don

The factory water to air aftercooler clears fine on old yeallow. I have a grid heater for an aftercooler and it will not clear the hood insulation with it, you would need a 2in body lift to get it to fit.
