i let them know i was not happy for the money spent and they said suggested i try them for a while

with all the other problems i have been having i never got back to them

i think for towing the 4's are prolly as good as it gets

Injector Help - Confused by the calculations

Postby justagoodolboy » Tue Feb 05, 2008 3:47 pm

Guys - some of you have seen my thread on helping me figure out what turbo to buy. I am also looking at what injector would be best for towing. I am looking at the HTB2 62/14 but realize now I need more fuel to take advantage of that setup. Can someone please guide me through what injector would create the most power without causing crazy EGT's? I keep thinking 190's, but I hear all sorts of conflicting info - some 4 hole - some 5. Some are EDM'd some not, etc. etc. and I am too stupid to know for sure whats legit info and whats not.

Help!

why are you worried about egts?

they are controlled by the shifter and your right foot

and water, if you are into that

i would use 5x12,13 or even 14 for towing with that turbo

Any idea what size hole is in the 5-hole 215? wouldn't think it's the same as the 4-hole ones?
Are the 215 injectors in our list (4-hole) correct or some ones guess?

Don or anyone, to clarify smaller than stock regarding these two injectors. I assume these are smaller than the Intercooled injectors? And do we know how much smaller? Anyone have the hole numbers and sizes? This info is very useful, big Thank You to Don and others who have contributed to this chart. I am particularly interested in injectors close in size +/- to the 1st Gen injectors, everything I can get information-wise smaller than the PODs for the 4BT crowd.

Ross, Mark at PDR told me that 190's are smaller than stock I/C injectors, but have better atomization. Thus more power, and better fuel economy.
Now I know where you've been hiding over the winter. ;)
