Someone good with the math, Pie are squared etc, figure up me a 4 hole injector with the same cross sectional area as a 6 x .016 injector.

So a 4x18 or 4x20 would fit the bill?

I wonder how much Old Smokey, way back when, had his POD's hog out or burned out to??

Thinking about a 4 hole set being built from a stock nonIC'd nozzle with flow comparable to a 6x16.

you will be adding an additional 50% worth of fuel if you switch from a pod to a 6x14

thats one way of saying it....

or you could say that your 6x14's are 33% bigger than a pod

depends which way you look at it

What do the numbers (eg. 185 190 230....) relate to? A part number, or HP rating?

Are the 185, 190, 230, 300, 330, and 435's "off the shelf" injectors? Are they just injectors for a different application/hp rating that uses the b series? If so, does anyone have part #s(bosch or cummins), or cpl #s, or application for them? Are they specifically for the first gen style engine(correct spray pattern, pop pressure, etc...)? I noticed that the 370's specifically say 2nd gen. I take it that they would take some mods to the injector to put em in a first gen or am I wrong?

Thanks for the info in advance

185 and 190 injectors are both off the shelf Bosch. Some of the rest are for 2nd Gen motors. Your best bet would be to get ahold of Chuck @ New Era Diesel and get a set of EDM injectors so you can stay with the 6 hole injectors that were designed for our trucks.
