delivery valves?

Postby turboram » Thu Jan 17, 2013 5:54 pm

Anyone ever try custom delivery valves? I just installed a set I built from vw ones and holy crap do they fuel hard .and it idles like a puller . I had to install the pump I built for testing on the puller because the camplate exploded the pump on the wifes ride

No pictures ... but the vw ones don't have a relief cut in the seat to let fuel return to the rotor. But they do have a collar that need cut down and I cut them a little more than our normal ones

Image

Check out the valve on the right it has a cut in the seat that lets fuel back to the pump. The one on the left looks like the vw's I cut down

When is it fueling hard? Idle or all the way through.

Post the video. In the past people have messed with delivery valves and only noticed an increase in low end fueling. Which valves did you modify? Year and spec on vw pump ghey came from?

Turbo is a vgt the injectors are 5x14s , timing is bumped a tooth and almost pushed to the head. Pump mods are 4200 spring , fuel screw turned all but 3 turns in and delivery valves.......oh forgot the fuel pin is reground for full fuel
