area divided by radius

i dont know what the cmsq number is or how they figure it out but it is pretty much the same thing - basically how big or small the housing is

ps - the other numbers you were talkin about 62,64,65,71 etc is the inducer measurement. you can tell which one you have in your hand by measuring od of the wheel (at its smallest point) or the id of the housing

those are the inducer sizes

the id of the hole where the air goes in will be real close to 64mm

and the id of the hole where the ex gasses go out will be real close to 71mm

real close not exact cuz it is not an interference fit

if it was exact the turbine wouldnt spin...

i am on thumper #2 in 1 year so i guess i am still havin problems. turbonetics says that on a high horse app like my s 10 for street driving they recomend normal ball bearings or a journal bearing so thats next i guess. i got a dummy in a viper talkin @#$@ so i gotta get it together quick.

7 second motorcycle first of all so different application

i still use them in the wheels, bearing support, stuff like that...

i just dont use them in the transmission anymore

some guys do and they seem to be having okay luck but to me it isnt worth sacraficing reliability for that little bit of extra performance

yeah i could stand to lose a few hp on the street. it is really crappy to have a crowd of poeple waitin to see ya run then turn into a fireball smoke cloud while launch spooling. i am tryin normal ball bearings if those dont go then i will go journal .if a 60 series detroit can go 500 000 on a turbo the journals have to be good.
