Rocken tech injectors

Postby Rusnak12 » Mon Mar 04, 2013 5:01 pm

Anyone ever use or hear anything bad about Rocken tech or their products? Came across them doin some research and they have some nice stuff ie 14 mm rotor heads and 4mm camp plates n of course injectors. Any help would be appreciated. Shooting for 400 rwhp thru a getrag on my 92 . I have a Dennyt the stage 1 pin and lookin for a turbo still. Possibly a 62 /14.Thanks in advance

Are you wanting to stay with a 6 hole? I don't believe I've ever heard anyone using their injectors.

thanks for the input. im lookin at 5 hole or 6. getting a 62 mm turbo so I need to match a set to that turbo. thinkin 5x14 or 6 x12 which ever is less smoky overall.

Stay with bosch nozzles... do yourself a favor and don't go aftermarket.

5 hole seem to be cleaner than 6 hole.

what size do u recommend for around 400 hp target? with the turbo I mentioned. I plan on an aftermarket ic and tubes and I already have a denny t stage 1 fuel pin n bumped the timing almost to the head. truck is a 5 speed

Straight edm'd nozzles require about a 5x16 size to get to 400hp.

With a flow honed nozzle, I did it with factory sticks.

The best is to get an edm'd size just slightly smaller than your goal and then have them flow honed out. The smaller size breaks up the fuel better than a straight edm'd nozzle yet actually flows more fuel than the slightly larger nozzle. Essentially a 5x14 flow honed out will create a lot more power than a 5x16 edm'd nozzle..... they can be hazy at an idle though if they are opened up a lot.

Let me ask ya... if you don't mind? What were you wanting to pay for injectors?

Well.... here is the thing. You'll be hard pressed to break 400hp at under 45 psi. I assume you want that to avoid studs? Regardless of the set up 400 won't be had on stock head bolts, this I know.

Under a grand for injectors can def. be had and I can get you premium all Bosch stuff that has all the goodies done to it for quite a bit under that.

If you do plan on running a 14.... you'll need a huge injector in order to keep it alive, including an expensive lift pump. Were you still planning on trying the 14?

No need for 14 mm head for a 400 hp goal, 5x14s, proper pump mods, and the right turbo will get that. You CAN make over 500 hp without head studs but you WILL eventually blow the gasket. The key is to make the most hp with the least amount of boost trough an appropriately sized turbo, and it will be reliable

I don't disagree with the above.....

But can you think of one person with even 400hp that didn't blow a head gasket without studs....WITH A VE

The main problem with us isn't directly boost or drive pressure related.... but more the fact that the amount of timing that we have to run to make 400, along with the combination of boost.
