Have you ever pulled a sled? Answer and then I will drop it.

Yes. Once. Worthless waste of time.
That's not to say there's no benefit.

Mark, I never knew you rode snowmobiles! I hate it when they break down too.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

torque is very nice, and does help, but even in pulling (sled or real world) its not the ONLY thing that matters, let alone the most important.
scenario: you're pulling a 15k trailer up a steep ass hill, are you going to be pulling that grade at 1200-1300 rpm where you have maximum torque??? HELL NO!! you're going to grab a lower gear and pull the hill at 2000-3000rpms........where you are making a lot more horsepower. same idea as sledpulling, torque might help get off the line, but you're not using much of that peak torque to get down the track!!!

From what I learned from other pullers is you get above peak power, then get pulled down into the power.

I broke the shaft in the Lift pump, going to try to get them to warranty the pump. Hopefully they will send a new pump to me, I might put a pressure relief of a cutoff of some kind on it.

Is it just the 14mm rotor or the whole pump, More details please. I really don't want to put any money into the trans, I want to swap it to an nv

ok, I tried it out at a pull, I bought an airdog II 165 off a buddy, stuck it on, and the truck ran great, went to get ready for the pull, and I changed the turbo to an ht3b, with a giant exhaust housing, that we just happened to have laying around the shop. well I loaded the truck up, been real hard to start, and I was making oil. I decided to hook to the sled anyways, by the time my class was up my battery had died ( not real sure why), anyways, hopped it off went to the track, couldn't even get the sled to move the truck wasn't revving all the way up, died driving off the track. so Drug it home, pulled the pump, and the IC, radiator, fan etc, to bump the timing. going 2 teeth, turned it counter clockwise( correct?), and this is where I'm at, besides trading my cousin my old 19.5's for his HT60, what do y'all think about the ht60 twined with an hx35? Oh, i locktighted the new seal with red locktite, also asked the guy I bought the pump off of what fuel pressure it was set at 45psi  , well I'm going to reset it to 20psi and go from there.
