So, I hate being "that guy" that changes his mind..... as we all get frusterated with it.

I want opinions on something. I keep thinking about the fact that for me to best answer questions I need to know first hand. I feel running compounds may not be that answer.

I'm thinking of scrapping the compounds (for now anyways) and running a BD Killer B (63/65/14 w/g). To see if this is a better answer to the non gated 63/68/.7 to .8 that engineered diesel is putting out. They don't spool as fast as I'd like and want to find something better, (also surging, keeping it boosted, etc, seems to be problems).......... possibly the killer b may be that faster spool up (maybe).

I think you will be disappointed with the outcome. But that's just my opinion. I'll give you a apples to oranges comparison from a buddy of mines 97' 12v. His opinion about his s362 as a single, compared to a Hx35 was as follows
Bottom end, slower. Lower midrange, slightly slower, mid range on up, same, but with a better seat of pants, performance result.

No when he added the s475 to the bottom his bottom end was still the same. But the lower midrange started to come to life sooner.

His truck is a 5 speed and he said the slow down between shifts were decreased. His low rpm cruising egts went down tremendously as well. I you can try it cheap then it's ok. But I'd keep the compound idea in the back of my head.

I don't disagree at all.... and eventually I'll end up with compunds, most likely.

I'm just really curious on how this charger stacks up against the highly let down 63/68 from e.d. which rips on top end, way above our fueling curve. I'm just very disappointed in the results I hear back from people with that turbo, kind of glad I never sold one, LOL.

Are you going to sell that 3B you bought, or hold on to it?

I would be interested in the turbine housing if you were to part it.....:)

Looks like it is already sold..... no parting out though.
