proper timing

Postby ellis93 » Sat Apr 06, 2013 6:12 pm

Considering my "issues" in this tread

What should I need for timing for these flow honed 5x10 injectors that flow at 45lpm,I dont know what that turns them into as far as size.

If you had a bone stock truck that you installed these nozzles in, I'd say 3/16" to a 1/4" bump..... So in your case being skipped a tooth, advance it 1/16" to 1/8" inch from being retarded all the way.

That's my advice and my tuning expertise being blind and not physically seeing how the truck reacts.

edit- these are flowing the same as a non i/c nozzle..... so try 1.45mm (I forgot you're getting a timing tool)

When you get the timing tool let's see where it actually shows up at.

It most definitely will be deferent than where it is now, thing has got to advance or something. If you start it up cold its really cranky

Usually cranky when cold means it's too far advanced. Now that you are running smaller injectors that would be more noticeable..... in my experience anyways.

For example my truck was very very very hard to start when it was below 30 over night, but with these bigger injectors at the same static setting it fires up in half a turn like it did stock (did last night anyways and it got down below freezing)

Eeeh....long ago,in low temps and the truck stock...I had to advance it because of the same thing. I'll go against instinct and retard it first.
