190 nozzles

Postby D-dog357 » Sat May 11, 2013 8:40 pm

Well I didn't get any reply's to my question on my other thread so I'll try again.

Does anybody know the specs for 190's ? The injector list is blank other than simply listing them.

We all know that they are "smaller yet more efficient" then stock but -
How many of what size holes do they have ?
What kind of flow do they have (lpm) ?
About what kind of hp can they produce ?
Are they any good for towing (less than 10k)?

I also wonder about how much extra stress do they cause to a turned up IP. After all one of the problems with "turning it up" can be shortened IP life if you don't have big enough injectors.

I don't want to get them and then find out their limitations if I can help it.

BTW; I'm looking for 250hp, maybe 300 max if it won't shorten the life of the IP.

Depends on where you get them.

There are 3 p/n for "bosch 190s" as three different style of injectors were used in that application.

Only one I know of flows 58lpm (by far the largest of the three)

To the OP.

From my experience.

In a mildly timed application (stock up to about 15 degrees) a marine angle makes the most responsive power (good for towing)............

However, a marine angle seems to be the diritest at idle, especially cold idle.

Now........

The +40 (not a 190, but the most common "mistake") is a 4 hole (thanks jkidd) and people have back and forth results. Usually most people don't like them because of they puke at cold idle. Other than that they are fantastic.

PDR's 190 0 432 131 841 - I don't know if this is a 5 hole or a 4 hole (they told me 5) it is a marine angle............. people have very good results with these injectors.

I'd have to look up again the whole number, but 875 is the last 3 digits. These are the what I call true 190..........as it was the std. (according to bosch's book) of the Bosch 190 rotary pump application. These flow 54-58lpm (depending on what machine) and are a marine angle, 5 hole injector.

But back to what will work the best...............IT REALLY DEPENDS ON WHAT YOUR GOALS ARE. Some of the best towing set ups are a bosch 190 (or equivalent) marine style injector with an s300g or similiar sized turbo.
