What would a P7100, S357, 5x12's, and an A518 get me?

How to make it go fast

My buddy has a 97 215hp p pump a long with an nv4500 in his 90 dodge.

He has a #10 BD fuel plate, a Super B single, and obviously intake/exhaust........his truck made 43psi and 1200 degrees............. he has now added some "60hp" sticks and it now makes 47 psi and 1250 degrees.

That truck hauls balls and tows like a mother hummer.

To make it very straight forward and to the point..............a p pump and 5x12 sticks would probably pull every bit as hard and make smoother power than what you have now. Assuming you do a fuel plate and proper afc tuning.

My rig is 377 rwhp based off of my trap speed. That was also leaving non boosted due to limited traction and my desire not to rip another flexplate in half. So my hp may be a tad higher than that. My turbo is the schied lightning mentioned above. It's spools very fast, runs 750egts at 80mph, and hits about 1500deg at the end of the 1/4 mile with my pump set on kill. I don't tow, so can't tell u about that. Good little turbo for its size, schied said It would make 550hp on a p pump.

I sell a LOT of Super B, s357, S300G (whatever you feel like calling them)

For what they are.........they simply can not be beat. Once one is passed what this will cool...........you start getting into the slower spooling world.

Just put one on a 1gen that we got through Eric. Awesome turbo, stock spool up, but the way it clears things up under wot is unbelieveable. If a person was shooting for a fun, 3-350 hp truck, this would be a great charger on a ve. One could probably get a bit more from a p pump application with one.

I want to switch from a VE to a P-pump for more hp but less torque. The way I understand it, the P-pump makes more power with more rpms. I am so sick of the low rpm smoke the way I am setup now. I also think that less torque would be better on my A518, just a hunch. I also want to put the trans cooler back to stock and go back to one turbo. Furthermore, I think I could sell or trade the turbo kit for a P-pump swap, so the cost wouldn't be to bad. My twins install was a little bit of a hack job I think it would be easier to sell the truck with one turbo, more of an oem look, if I decided to sell.

One thing I am concerned about though, is making the OD work in an OEM manner.

I would try running smaller injectors first.

Understandable but IMHO I would say a twin turbo truck would sell faster than the droves of stock appearing trucks (at least in my area) the stock heat exchanger can be mounted fairly easy anywhere
As far as low end on a p it's all in tuning bring your star wheel up the smoke screw up and add timing to loose the smoke but keep spool

Are you still running the piece of crap pink/green spring under the diaphragm? :/ Doesn't RC carry stiffer springs? Or get a green/black one out of a 184 pump. What fuel pin are you using? And is your IP still seized on at stock timing?

Should work out well.........I know 5x13 SAC style tips are incredibly clean.

Maybe Sutter1stgen will chime in....one of his buddies is running an s300g and a set of 5x13 tips and it has zero smoke issues.

With large tires, heavy truck, and a stab of the throttle with a loose afc, one can get the above mentioned setup to belch a cloud. But then again a improperly tuned stock rig will do the same. The superB and 5x13s complement each other well. The pump runs a stock pin, 366gsk, and a timing bump, just a little past the collar, and that's it. The truck pulls hard, hits 40psi and 1400 at the end of drive. But the thing is it's super clean. Even if your stab the grottos under no boost, it clears up quick, and stays that way.

dbZac on cumminsforum runs a superB with ddp3s. He made 325/7?? He tows with the truck and says he just loves the setup.

I am thoroughly impressed with them. I'd like to see what they'd do with the pump maxed, and a sufficient amount of air for that fueling level.

Funny you say that. After he drove the truck he muttered "now I know why you were suggesting twins". But at least you set him up well for future upgrade.
