I thought maybe kasper thought I meant you couldn't clock the turbo by me saying fixed outlet.

Yup, I was think of the cover not the outlet, sorry.

Not much, sourcing parts 90% complete. Both turbos have been gone threw, all the piping I think I need, gate. Still need to figure out high pressure fuel line. Really thinking about trying to build my own exhaust manifold. I just don't think I can swallow that high price tag of a manifold with a gate port on it. I'm not too bad with a TIG, well I'm not horrible.

Was thinking about trying to polish the housings and have them coated, but honestly its still over 100* around here, so nothing really will be happening until its cooler. I have a swamp cooler in the barn but it doesn't do much in this heat and humidity.

I wouldn't worry too much about running a small shot of nitrous on the engine with just an internal gate. The bigger turbo pushing on the smaller one (compounding)
actually slows the small turbo down a bit, so you wouldn't have to worry as much about overspeeding. Boost + rpm is usually what kills turbos, and with VE's you usually only have one or the other

External gate already here, suppose I could sell it off.

Since we are kinda on the subject care to explain basic theory of nitrous for a diesel? I.E. what size jets, lines, solenoids, best company to invest in? Once again I'm not planning on running it, unless my numbers are not in the ball park I'm wanting, but always good to plan ahead.

Supply line up to the IP?

Doesn't Jason just run a #12 line right into the intake horn with a 1/4 turn ball valve under the dash to turn it on? :P

No high pressure line, 14H&R to injecotrs. I've read a set of non intercooled lines can be made to work on an intercooled engine. Probably my best option.

Sorry for the confusion, non ic dv valves on this pump.

I've got the same deal with my '93....

My new pump has the longer non intercooled delivery valve holders, and I've got intercooled lines. All I did was loosen all of the clamps/brackets that hold the lines together/in place and give them a few tweaks to get them to reach and line up. Not a big deal at all really. 8)

Makes me feel much better someone that's really done it. I will contact Mark to see what he has laying around his yard.

Thank you, I owe you a few beers.

So to derail this a bit more, anyone thinking about doing the Redding Ca deal next year? I brought it up some where on this site, had attention for a few days then not so much.

I'd be willing to go to a different spot with enough lead time. As long as there is a large gathering of rotary pumps there.

You know I'm game anywhere in CA. I don't want to get too far away from San Fran. ;).

Hahaha it's alright with me. I'm about as light hearted as they come. I'm reworking my build at the moment, s366 is getting a gated housing, and I may be pulling the trigger on a 14mm as well. Time to see what this old heap will really do with a non lockup.

A little birdie told me a rumor you were going with one of those fancy inline pumps. Good to hear you're not going to the dark side.

I'm always willing to pay shipping on a free p pump. Just not putting one on my 1stgen. Big bird really likes those pumps, his user name screamed what those pumps were meant to do. Lol

3k rpm is enough for me.

Yeah I know what your saying. 3,500-3,800 and my sphincter is like a banjo string.

New subject, cooling between stages? Thinking one of those little frozen boost air to water deals would be kinda slick between primary and secondary. Thoughts?
