Meh. Not worth worrying about in our trucks IMO, your money/time could probably be better spent.

RonA tried interstage cooling on his truck. They swore there would be zero pressure drop. But real world driving presented him with more lag than before.

And like stated above,,,,, it just adds complexity to our trucks.

If you had no charge cooling, I would say yeah go for it.

Alright. I was thinking the same but thought it would be kinda cool too.

I have a second gen intercooler to go in so just go with that. Anyone have a good way to strip all the black paint off? I asked the radiator shop and they said they could drip and get some off but more than likley it wouldn't get all of it. Then quoted me 125$ to try it....I declined.

Industrial stripper. If you were close to me I'd have it done in a hour. I'd go to a automotive paint store and ask what theyd reconmend.

The image in my head at your "industrial stiper" wasn't pretty.

I will talk to my guys at the body shop at work and see what they have laying around, then realize I can't speak their el lengo and head to the paint store.

I will do my "industrial stripper" in a small enclosed space and see what happens.

Thanks again. My beer tab is getting high now. I may just bring a bottle of whiskey out to whatever the desision for the California rally.

Is there any big diesel event in Bakersfield/Fontana? Makes it futher for Jeremy, Nick, Eric, and Brad I think. But myself, and Aaron would make it in the middle. Then Jason, Jim and David couldn't come up with an excuse not to show up being basicly in their back yard'ish. Also not sure who else would want to go, that isn't an exclusive list and hope more guys will come.

David?? As in BC847?? He lives on the east coast I believe. Bakersfield/Fontana is not what I would call his backyard lol.

The stuff I use is made by sunrise products. It's pretty nasty stuff.

This!

"backyardish" = a little over 2500 miles. MapQuest says I can do it in 39 ~ 43 hours. . . . . . I'll need to stop and get fuel . .. . . . . a lot . . . .

But thanks anyway. ;)

Nah. Harnett county, NC.
- Coats, NC specifically.

I appreciate the offer though I'm afraid I'd also need tires somewhere along the way.

BC, you wouldn't need tires if you didn't treat every stop light like it's the one at the track. ;)

But........then what is the purpose of owning a Cummins? Anything else that we do that to blows up in short order.

So, my super sexy loving wife must of found my separate savings account. I've been installing laminate flooring all weekend, the money spent on this would have covered some really wicked kewl parts for my pickup. I mean at the tune of a nice Gtx ball bearing charger. I have come to realize my primary probably won't support what I'm trying to do and been looking at some other options. Well that chit is out the window for now. I need to open another account with a different bank.

This is my warning to all you single guys, hookers are cheaper than wives. Then you can have a different.....um....um....well...how do I put this? A different "den" to sleep in rather than the same one every Thursday night.

So, what turbos are you wanting to run?

Gtx4202r or an s480. I think I can have my gta4294 punched to a 4202, but its an older style and I read it as some of them cannot be machined?

Thoughts?
