If your staying ve then s472 is what I'd run. Stackx2 (John) is going to run that charger with a t6 1.10ar housing on his p pump truck. Ve pumps need a quick spooling charger. Call forces inductions.

I believe a 14 h/r pushing as much as he can would benefit from a larger primary.

He should be in the 600-800 hp range.........if all the fuel gets burned.

Yeah that's my problem, I need to get the primary going as quick as I can. My sub par math tells me I need to be in the low 100's on cfm with the primary, but as we all know we have rpm problems. That's why I was thinking a ball bearing Gtx wheel would be my ticket but man those are a large chunk of change! The EFR Borg warner turbos are a hair cheaper but still in the mid 2k range.
I also really think the 351 is going to hate life, so I'm thinking of changing out the secondary also. Time and money.......

When i talked to stomp a while back about purchasing a larger primary, he said anything you go with will be better than a ht3b. As long as it is comparable in size obviously. His reason for saying was the technology has gotten much better. You don't have to break the bank on buying a new primary. That's why I suggested a Borg turbo.
As for you high pressure side, I'd definitely go with a charger that has nice exhaust flow characteristics. You don't want it to be a choking point.

The more I drive this 62/68.............

I think a sweet set up would be this 62fmw over a 475 sized charger

I know, I went around and around for over a year on which turbo I wanted........ask sutter. Holy cow.......it was ridiculous.

I finally bit the bullet and went with the newest technology that borg offered..........and then took a few months to someone who could make it happen (my builder).

It was the best decision I made. This turbo, with proper tuning, spools faster than my he351cw did. Originally i was having laziness issues and egt issues in 5th. That was solely a boost leak/small i/c issue. This thing has ZERO lag now that I have it dialed in.

If you were to add a turbo like this with a similar low press. turbo........I think you'll be in business.

After talking to some very knowable diesel performance people I'm now deciding to go with a 62/68
,4202 combination. They think its going to be a bit warm but will get going quick enough to be fully lit in the relatively short rpm range us rotary pump guys have to deal with.
So in summary, I need to spend some more money that my wife will probably say but now we need new furniture. If that happens I'm putting up more pictures.

Well either way the results should be interesting! ;) Jmo, but if you are going with a JB instead of a BB 4202 why not just go with a S471 or S475? Oops, I read back and saw that you are going with a gtx.

After a few price quotes I may sell off the whole mess and start over. I'm honestly not sure at this point, work is horribly slow. I've always promised my wife I won't use the general saving account to purchase fun things.

So to all you General motor product owners that are under warranty or have extended warranty, please go break your rigs. I will turn a blind eye to most aftermarket parts.......

I Almost sold all of mine a few months ago when I was looking for work. Finally found full time work a couple weeks ago, 40 hrs a week for now. Really glad I didn't accept any of the crappy offers I was getting, I'd be kicking myself right now. I had one jerk freak right out (via text message)because I wouldn't sell him my parts truck for $150 bucks when I wanted 500. Which I think is a good deal for a complete (except for the fan) 93 12 valve and getrag trans(which needs a clutch) Schit, I paid nearly 300 for the starter 2 months before the clutch went on it. Schit, just fab some triple hx35's, that'll outflow a gtx4202 anyway for the price of 1 new secondary or cheaper, and I'd bet they spool just as fast. Add a fancy external gate when you do have the money and you'd be laughing. Of course always easier to say it than to do it lol.

3 crossed my mind. Then I looked at the pictures over on Compd. Looks like a plate of spaghetti fell onto the engine. Although I'm not against showing off my poor tig skills......

I'm not saying I would ditch the entire project just the turbos I thought I needed. Then again I was talking to the lady you see up there ^ a few weeks ago about how nice it would be to have a mega cab 6.7.

I don't really have anything to add to your choices but I happen to own a 6.7 cummins now along with my first gen (though mine is a crew cab long box) it is really nice and comfy but there are some features where I like the first gen more. Price of parts is a big one, and to get it tuned properly can get up over $1600
