How to make it go fast

BC, I checked out the DV's off of my new pump, and they don't have that ridge on them. Another thing is that they have short springs just like the NON-IC's, but have a really long spacer...don't know if this means anything, but somewhere my new pump is lacking and I am trying to fugure out why also...

I have a set of delivery valves like the long holder set in the first pic, it has an even larger land on it than the ones shown, it also has another small check valve type set up in the end where the fuel line screws on, looks extremely restrictive, I cant find info on why it would be there.

There are a large number of different DVs for different application. Many are modified well beyond that we run, to address different operating conditions. Who knows what you've got. :?

BC those appear to be vw delivery valves , and yes they are very restrictive. swap for ones without the reaction piston. On the other hand if you remove the shoulder or reaction piston the dv will keep residual pressure in the fuel line thus moving more fuel .
note the cummins ones have a little flat spot on the seat and vw ones do not. The vw engine will not run properly with the cummins dv's , tried it .

Good info.

Yeah, I'm contemplating just swapping the plunger & seat of my OEM DVs into the longer bodies of the VW looking Dvs. I'm thinking it'll allow the plunger to lift a little further off the seat . . . . because of the difference in the length of the springs.

I'm also toying with the notion of milling the retraction-pistons off those plungers, and running those plungers & seats in the OEM bodies.

Dunno.

I've got another split injector tip to deal with. Gonna replace the entire set with something new.

Thanks guys.

Pulled another pump today. Del valve on left is out of the pump I mentioned earlier. Has the long barrel and the extra check valve. Valve on right is out of a non turbo 6bt. Looks a bit less restrictive to me
its also got a flat machined on the seat
