Why do I wanna drag race a lifted 80s 4 door truck on 40" tires? Because it's more fun than racing a 2200 pound Honda.

All I can say is best of luck to you if your gonna run a 14mm H/R assembly. Who's 14mm are you planning on using? Rocken Tech?

Might as well get your P-pump going or at least on standby and not waste your money on Rocken Techs 14mm...along with the usual high volume to keep it fed, you need the fuel good and warm...even mild temps can cause the fuel to slightly thicken just enough that the rotor will seize in the head.

Rocken tech's machining quality may not be on par as some of the other 14mm head and rotors, but even that is a inaccurate statement. I don't have the knowledge to judge poor quality from good quality, especially when it comes to pumps. But I wouldn't discourage the guy if he wants to try something new, and or different. Especially with no proven facts. Mild climate temps, gelling diesel?? To the point of seizing?.......

Come on!!!! Ever been to Northern CA? It's a little chilly. The #1 14mm ve guy runs a fuel cooler, and lives in these climates.

I think there is a lot variables in keeping a 14mm alive, attention to detail, and running a common/proven combination with the 14mm are key. Are they reliable??? Probably not as much as a 12mm, but not enough people have ran them I think to give them a chance.

Wasn't trying to dog you. Just that the "mild climate" subject that has been thrown out before, doesn't make much sense. Not saying your the source, but it hasn't been proven with multiple pumps (ie100 units).

As far as knowledge,,,, I'm a parts changer! Not a meck-a-neck, I have minimal knowledge. So don't worry, we're in the same boat.

For my fuel supply I have an a1000 1/2" line @ 45 psi coming from a fuel cell and the lowest temps this thing should see are around 35ish degrees and will never be ran hard until it is up to temp.
